Updated theatre tickets and wallets
I joined Theatre Royal Plymouth (TRP) in 2022 as its first dedicated Graphic Designer. TRP is the UK's most attended regional producing theatre, hosting over 300,000 visitors annually. I previously supported the company’s communications as a Marketing Officer from 2018. The company was undertaking a management transition and sought to refresh and unify its visual brand. The goal was to update the existing identity to create consistency across complex channels, ensuring the updated style respected the strong relationship existing patrons had with the brand.
I focused on consolidating the visual assets, notably merging separate brand colours into a unified gradient to symbolise new cohesion. The website was cleaned up and restructured, introducing the 'Our Story' page to better highlight the company, its people, and its city, and improving the ticket buyer user journey. For print, I introduced a new timeline-style season leaflet (A4 folded into four) to present the 100+ shows clearly while reducing material usage. I also developed comprehensive template suites for digital communication, including email, front-of-house screens, digital advertising, and a comprehensive social media style guide for use across the organisation's multiple teams.
The project delivered a visually cleaner and updated aesthetic, successfully injecting renewed energy while honouring the organisation's history. This effort created a consistent look and feel across all platforms, establishing a complete set of design templates to increase efficiency company-wide.
